Step 2

Next, cut through the wallboard with a keyhole saw or cut completely through with a utility along the line you previously marked.  Tip – Make the cut as cleanly and evenly as possible. Cut straight and not at a bevel as it will make it easier when plugging the cut out area with a new piece of wallboard.

Don’t worry if there is not a stud nearby, we will take care of that in the next step.
